Let’s call it angst.

I’m sitting here in the dark. I’m too lazy to go buy lightbulbs. That’s just fine — I get to light candles and stare into the soft glow of the monitor. There’s a beer, and a cat eyeing the beer…

The Stargate DVD is playing in a window; I’m surfing through Blog Explosion in another. Life is good.

I’m a Stargate fanatic. Do I know why?

Col. Jack O’Neill. Mrowr.

And, although James Spader has been known to elicit mrowrdom, Michael Shanks is more of the same Mrowr calibre as The Collective Cols Jack O’Neill of Kurt Russell and Richard Dean Anderson.

While I’m lusting after science fiction characters, is it wrong to find animated characters attractive hawt? Titan A.E.’s Capt. Joseph Korso is, shall we say, nicely drawn. :)

Oh yes, let me totally agree with you. Yummy! Both of them…just yummy.

I’m in the dark too… well sort of. But mostly I am cold. I don’t know where the cat is, and I have never played Stargate.

    Oh well.

    HOpefully you are warm :)

  3. Sam says:

Perhaps you should keep some lightbulbs on top of that warm well placed emergency blanket next to your chair that you wrote about? Uh,wait… that would involve getting up to change the bulb for a new one… scratch that idea. Sitting in the dark it is. :)

I’m hearing ‘Jessica rabbit’ purring in my ear when I read this post… “I’m not bad, I’m just drawn that way”

I think it’s a little odd to find cartoon characters hot, although a few of us couldn’t help but find Elastigirl to be really cute…

being the wallflower geek that i am – i (like many of my geek brethren) have had the hots for various and sundry comic book heros.

and how can you not?! there are these beautiful, lonely, tortured beings who are dedicated and always on call to help the random john/jane q. public – and let’s not forget the hero/heroine’s archetypal love interest.

if i were lucky enough to be one of those – i’d be hurling myself in front of trains on purpose… ;)

my latest mrowr is that cutie, tom something, on smallville. and the young david boreanas. *sigh* :)

  6. Shelley says:

I still think Batman/Bruce Wayne from Batman: the Animated Series is hot. And that voice! :)

  7. Catt says:

You know…admitting you have a problem is the first step :)

  8. Finally, another Stargater. It’s such a great show. I even got my boyfriend into it. Quite underappreciated. I like how it’s intelligent with a sense of self-depreciating humor.

  9. zee says:

woohoo! ditto, they are both SO yummy. Michael and Richard rock my world!

  10. Shannon O. says:

Love your blog… and love Stargate also… Gotta love Mondays and Fridays on the SciFi Channel =)

  11. Meg says:

Uhm…finding animated characters hot? Just a weeee bit disturbing. ;o)

  12. SilverBubble says:

I agree with you on Capt. Joseph Korso from Titan A.E. Let me also point out that the Sinbad from the movie Sinbad (go figure) was also nicely drawn. Very nicely drawn, indeed.

  13. Amanda says:

Sci fi characters are easy to crush over. I dont know if anyone remembers the really craptacular Lexx series, but i had a total crush on Kai the dead guy. He’s the reason i bought the crap show on dvd.

  14. O’neill’s just too old for my liking. Ditto Daniel. Kai (from the above comment): not so bad. My personal favourite sci fi dude: Riley from Buffy. Not the most popular character by a long shot, and certainly not a good match for Buffy, but I am my own person and that’s my final answer.

Oh, and hot cartoon characters… Absolutely, but I’ll take Cale over Corso any day. Although, I still want to know who names a character after a vegetable.

  15. dries says:

I think it’s because of McGuyver, but I also totally love Stargate SG1, wich reminds me, wasn’t I bored, and didn’t i just download season 5 :-)

  16. CAD Monkey says:

    “Mrowrdom.” Heh.

  17. Ana says:

Oh, ya, Stargate, I love M. Shanks. He can shank me anyday. Watching SG-1 is sadly what I prefer to do on Friday nights…sigh.

And to let Shelly who commented earlier know that the hottie’s name from Smallville is Tom Welling & I saw him first:)

I like your blog so much I added a link; hope you don’t mind.
