Sorry, my friend Mona misunderstood the gender of your cat. I have a male siamese/tabby cat that I christened, "Fuji". Very interesting to know that there is another one out there. My cat doesn't mount stuffed animals, but he used to chase around our older male tom-cat and try to mate with him...sometimes he even tried to mount my arm when I was sleeping. *ugh*. Now he's neutered and his humping days are over...

I had a cat that kept up an affair with a teddy bear for over ten years. The same bear. Even though it was washed regularly it still seemed quite disgusting after awhile. I got a new bear. No go. A monogamous, neutered cat...his best performance was when I was selling my house and it was being shown by a realtor and the cat took the bear, literally, on the dining room table in front of everyone. The cat is dead. The bear went to the trash. But, every once in a while some stranger will ask me if that was my cat...seems the story went around the block a few times.

Heh heh heh!
I have a female cat that does the same thing. Her name is Mouse, (she was the runt of the litter) She likes to knead any pillow but especially the ones on our bed. she also likes to snuggle up to my wife's "Angel Bear" she keeps by her desk.
Great post and a very nice blog.

One of my friends has a male cat with a long lasting relationship with a stuffed beaver she made in highschool. The beaver is usually carried out where everybody can see him before he starts the show.

My dog does that with a stuffed animal I got at Dollywood. We know when she does because if you hit the thing, it lets out a creepy laugh. Very funny.

I have a neutred male Poodley-type thing that puts on a similar show. He never does this when we're alone in the house. Nope. He waits until there's a good four or five people in the room, grabs one of the couch cushions drags into the centre of the room and puts on a little performance. If there aren't enough people in the room to watch, he'll just sit with one of his toys and cuddle them. He puts the show on only for guests.
